Q: How much can I get with this order?
A: You have the option of ordering a 3 month supply or a 6 month supply of Opill from us. Just remember to reorder in time, so you don’t run out!
Q: What is the Opill?
A: Opill is a progestin only, over-the-counter birth control pill.
Q: How effective is it?
A: Opill is 98% effective at preventing pregnancy when taken as directed.
Q: Can I skip my period with Opill?
A: No, unlike other birth control, the Opill is progestin only and has no placebo pills. It is important to not skip any days while taking Opill.
Q: Does it matter when I start taking it?
A: You can start your first pack on any day of your cycle. Just make sure that you take it at the same time EVERYDAY. If you miss a day, make sure you use a backup method, like a condom, when having sex.
Q: Who should not take it?
A: Do not use Opill if you have or ever had breast cancer, if you are already pregnant or if you already have a birth control method in use, such as an IUD. Also, do not use Opill if you have a FD&C yellow No.5 (tartrazine) allergy. People allergic to aspirin often have a tartrazine allergy too.
Q: Is it safe to take if I am under 18?
A: Opill can be safely used by anyone who has started menstruating, regardless of their age. The FDA approved Opill for people of all reproductive ages.
Q: Does my weight effect the use of Opill?
A: There are no restrictions for use of Opill based on weight.

FAQs about EC:
Q: Is the same as the abortion pills?
A: Emergency Contraception (EC) is NOT the same as abortion pills. EC helps prevent pregnancy after unprotected sex.
Q: What if I take it and I am already pregnant?
A: If you are already pregnant, EC will NOT affect that pregnancy.
Q: Can I order this if I live outside of Arkansas?
A: Unfortunately, our shipments of EC are only available to those living in Arkansas.
Q: What if I am ordering this for someone I know and not myself?
A: We will send you EC regardless of age or gender, as long as you are living in Arkansas.
Q: When do I take EC?
A: EC is most effective when taken within 72 hours after unprotected sex. But the sooner you take it the better.
Q: What if I need EC today?
A: This is a PRE-NEED program. We ship out order every other week, so if you currently need a dose it WILL NOT come in time. That being said, if you live in Central Arkansas, you can stop by the Y.O.U. Center to pick up free EC! If you live outside of Central Arkansas, give our helpline (501) 487-5244 a call and we can help you find some near you.
Important Note:
EC is intended for use AFTER unprotected sex. If you have unprotected sex multiple times, consider the first time the start of the 72 hour window in which you should take EC.
If you have unprotected sex after taking EC, you will need to take another dose of EC.
Will my weight be an issue?
There is limited research on the effectiveness of Levonorgestrel 1.5mg (what we currently ship, known most commonly under the brand Plan B One Step) based on weight. While some studies show it lowers effectiveness, others do not. Which is confusing, we know. We aren’t medical professionals, but here’s what some internet sleuthing has told us.
For what it’s worth, the World Health Organization (WHO) considers Levonorgestrel 1.5mg as LESS effective for people who have a BMI over 30 (or weigh over 165lbs). That said, pregnancy rates after using EC for anyone— regardless of weight— were less than 3%. So while it may technically be less effective if you weigh more, that doesn’t mean it doesn’t work.
Time, more than weight, is a major factor in the effectiveness of Levonorgestrel. The quicker you are able to take EC after unprotected sex— the better!

While all packages will be shipped to you in a small bubble-mailer envelope via regular mail with no exterior markings to indicate the contents. For our EC mailing, we also have the option for further discreet packaging, which will ONLY include 2 unboxed doses of emergency contraception and NOTHING ELSE.
